About Us

The San Diego Ice Arena is owned by the Linssen family. Philip Linssen is the CEO of SDIA Inc. Mark Linssen is the COO of SDIA Inc. Since 2000, the brothers have created a vibrant community around SDIA.Engaged customers and inclusive programs have developed a private business that feels more like a community. 

Projects like a water reclamation system and solar panels have kept the facility ecologically responsible. 

Programs like the Special Skaters and our community fundraisers have kept SDIA socially responsible.In addition to the Mira Mesa facility, each year since 1997, SDIA Inc. has teamed with Sentre Partners to run a temporary rink in downtown San Diego, “Fantasy on Ice”. All proceeds from “Fantasy on Ice” go to Rady Children’s Hospital. 

It provides quite the memorable experience ice skating in sunny San Diego.Always looking to improve the quality of care at SDIA the Linssen’s efforts can be seen daily as they roam around the facility working for solutions to problems. 

Ask anyone at the facility what it was like before the Linssen’s took charge and they can describe for you decrepit boards, broken bathrooms, and general neglect. We look forward to see what the next fifteen years brings at SDIA.
