John K. Baxter<\/h4>
Coach Baxter is a native to San Diego. As a player, he began in squirt house league at UTC and fell in love with the game. As a player he developed to the levels listed below.<\/span><\/div>\n

As a coach, Coach Baxter has been involved with the Oilers Hockey Club for 8 seasons and counting..<\/span><\/div>\n
He has taken teams to playoffs every season but 1. His philosophy is developing depth on the bench. His coaching style is a custom tailored approach that is a combination of learning each player\u2019s strengths\/weaknesses with an emphasis of development in team systems and fundamentals. Coach Baxter is well known in the organization to teach players to be ready for the next level. Individual fundamentals are important, but it is the hockey IQ and working effectively in team systems, that will enable a player to excel to the next level.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Scott Forrest<\/h4>

Scott is committed to progressing players through the development of fundamental skills and to building resilience and camaraderie through competitive hockey.\u00a0 He believes these elements underpin success both on and off the ice.<\/span><\/div>\n

Scott grew up playing hockey, ultimately progressing to junior hockey in Alberta where he was named a team captain.\u00a0 Scott continued his career under coach Roger Voisinet at the University of Virginia bringing a hard-working, physical\u00a0approach\u00a0to defense en route to consecutive all-conference selections.<\/span><\/div>\n

After two season at U.Va., Scott \"retired\" to focus full time on his school and career.\u00a0 Twenty (!) years later his son Hewitt re-ignited his passion for the game after an impromptu pond hockey session on Lake Louise.\u00a0 Despite discovering just how much rust had built up over the years, Scott couldn't resist being a part of passing on the many lessons hockey has taught him to the next generation.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
